Talking about thriller/scary films in work and one came into my head but for the life of me cant think of the name/who's in it and can only recall a small part of the film, heres what I remember

A Husband/wife out for the day, she is in a shop, cant remember where the husband is but he isnt with her but not to far away, she gets talking to someone who seems nice who drugs her then kidnaps her. Husband is frantic when he cant find her, dont know how the kidnapper gets in touch but he does and he tells the husband if he ever wants to see her again he would have to go through the ordeal his wife went through, which is self administer the drugs to himself, he then wakes up in a coffin and the rest of the film eludes me, basically he has to go through the same ordeal his wife went through to get her back without ever knowing if she is alive or not, a gamble he is willing to take.

I tried typing the plot into google but nothing comes back, any help.

Now that was sorted i have one.

All i remember is it had something to do with apples, think it was set in an a house in the middle of nowhere that pressed apples. I think near the end a woman fell into some water, but at the very end she was in a padded cell. Also maybe a couple did something rude on a ferris wheel and a dogs head got chopped off and put though a cat flap. Although i could be confusing those last two bits.

I know it's not much to go on but i saw it about 10 years ago and thought it was amazing, although clearly not enough to remember what it was called....

+ trillions... original is called Spoorloos. It's infinitely better, which is weird considering that the remake was done by the original director. Shows how much effect changing an ending can have on destroying a film.

The second film sounds like a bad trip. Shall look out for it

good point! the ending in the bridges version is just terrible considering how dramatic spoorloos's ending was. I was quite shocked by it.
