Why?

It is certainly possible if you take extreme action for the next 6 weeks

But not sustainable because you have not addressed the changes needed. So at the end of weeks it will all go back on + more.

Do the diet that they do before weight loss surgery. Can only be done for 10 days but could kick start you off but as others have said you need to improve yr diet. Use a tea plate for portion control. Milk diet consists of 3 pints semi skimmed milk perday and up to 400g of low fat yogurt. See if you can find example of Internet. It shows you that you can survive on less food than you are taking in.

Probably by not eating or going on the lemonade/master cleanse diet. Either them mess you up likely.

As someone said if person weigh a lot and really cut back on all the rubbish and ate salad and vegetables and a bit of fruit,some protein and healthier carbs all in small portions then they probably lose a fair bit.

I'm on the understanding that about 2-3lbs a week is average to help maintain it for a long period rather than some crash dieting.

do not take xenical unless you want to be sat on the toilet all day with poop literally dripping from your bum, its gross!!!!! ive been there, and decided id rather be big!!!
just eat normal, at normal times
have some breakfast in a morning, dinner at dinner time, tea at tea time, and a snack before bed.
swap white bread for brown, full fat milk for skimmed, yoghurts for fat free ones, crisps for snack a jacks, basically dont change when you eat, change what you eat, it will make a massive difference, but, dont begrudge yourself a treat now and then because you will crave a treat and probably fail your diet!! have a small piece of choc cake!! just watch what you eat and change your portion sizes! job done :)

My fitness pal app on phone and on web helped me lose 4 stone in four months . Calorie counting and sensible exercise will get you there.

As AATS says above - you've got to be sensible or you'll simply put it all back on ... and usually more ...as soon as you start eating sensibly again. I joined slimming world in Dec and it's all about eating as much as you need but of all the right things - I've lost 4 stone so far and have not been hungry at all - and I've enjoyed treats over Christmas, New Year, birthdays and on holiday in USA :D - it can be done ! Eat healthily, calorie count and exercise.

I've lost 3 stone in 5 months. For the first 2 - 3 months I did the above religiously but now have toned it down a lot. 2 stone in 6 weeks would be pushing it as you'd have to drop a fair few calories plus exercise like you've never done before.

What?? It certainly wouldn't have been fat. That's 49000 calories worth of fat in a week - not possible.

OP you would need to lose 4.6pounds of fat a week for 6 weeks. To put that into perspective a pound is 3500 calories, so in a week that’s 16100 calories of fat. A typical male should be eating 2500 calories a day which in a week totals 17500 calories in a week. That means in order for you to burn 4.6 pounds of fat you would only be able to eat 200 calories a day. In other words.... it's not going to happen.

Only estimates of course and the truth is its a bit more complicated than that, but people should be realistic about what they can achieve.

not healty to be trying to lose 15% of your bodyweight in 6 weeks, a program like this should be done over 10 weeks minimum

Or at a risk of everyone slating this, do the Cambridge diet , it's always good for big weight lose in short time, I do it before holidays but just have a small evening meal instead. Or do the milk diet as someone suggested will b lots cheaper but remember to take some vitamins also, good luck

Of course it's possible,i've also seen people on these television programmes who are massively overweight and lose that much in a week.

The guy may even have been heavier,he was huge oO but he defo lost a stone in the first week.

OP you can't lost that amount in such short time & if you do then you will have loose skin.
Eat Rice,Chicken,Salads,Veg,Pastas & most important workout.

also could do VLCD..... get packs off ebay i think?

stick to no more than 800kcal a day


lots of options....its a horrible way to lose weight as its not easy and when u go back to normal eating u will regain it

I managed to lose 6.5lb in 1 week doing 3 days of a baked bean diet, Im not a massive girl either, 9.5st, so if I can lose that doing 3 days worth a bigger person doing 5 days worth should be able to lose more
I got the Baked bean diet off an article about a man losing 10st in 9 months, He was a big guy to start with. I have only tried it that once though. Went on holiday, enjoyed my food, drink and ice cream and gained it all back, but then again Im still at my target weight.

Good luck losing that weight so quick. I want another 1st off before July

I'm a very big girl, I managed to lose a stone in a week when I had aneamia. I was ill and was living on toast and cups of really sugary tea. I didn't know what was wrong, was just stuck in bed. But yes it's possible to lose a stone in a week quite easily when you're big.
Also, my friend starts weight watchers recently and a woman there told her that in the first week of dieting you tend to lose the most weight as it's excess water that you're losing (from changing your eating habits).

Just wondering, would having a colonic irrigation show weight loss on the scales? I know it's not very nice, but if the OP is looking for the weight loss on the scales, then surely that would help them? (Not just dropping a few dress sizes)

The first week of my current lifestyle change (not diet as I don't plan on putting it back on!) I lost 11lbs, most of that would have been water weight as I shifted my eating away from foods full of sodium.

I stuck with low carb/calorie counting and doing a lot of cardio (mainly treadmill walking) and have dropped from just over 17stone (240lbs) to just over 13stone (183-4lbs) in 4 months doing that. Don't go too drastic but drop your calorie intake, clean up your diet (leave out alcohol and crappy foods) and do some exercise and you will drop weight. Might not get down 2 stone but I'd say that 14-16lbs should be doable in 6 weeks taking in to account an initial drop of water weight.
