Nothing, just pay postage both ways.

I would need your eeprom for sure, are you OK getting that off the xbox?

Also I would preferably need a copy of your C and E drive, I can do it using mine if you wanted me too but I would prefer to use yours.

Yes the C is important too

Xbox HDM comes with clean copies of all the partitions all you need is the eeprom and the latest dashboard.

I prefer using the original C & E drive that way you have all your own back ups, save games, music, your eeprom backed up and have the system set up exactly how you like it. I've done a few now using stock C & E drives but prefer to use the backed up C & E

No problems, if you just burn that, your E drive and your eeprom to a data disc that is all i'll need (and the HDD of course)

hey faevilangel and RedIron, hope your both well, I managed to install a usb port on my 360, soldered the wires together and have it glued on the underside of the xbox, looks better than it sounds lol.

Also managed to install unleashedX or what ever its called, order a cheap wifi dongle from dealextreme also.

may need some advice on setting that up when it comes, what dashboard are you running, wanting something that is easy to access video via networking, because its mainly for my old man

Alright mate, you mean your original xbox I take it?

How easy did you find it in the end? You'll have to post a pic of your handy work!

I run XBMC and Evox, you want a Linux distro on yours though for the wireless. They're nice and easy to do though.

was easy enough, I stripped the wires back, soldered them all together appropriately, wrapped the different wires with electrical tape, then bundled them together and taped them again to keep it tidy.

Tried taking pictures as I went along but the wires are that thin, I ended up not bothering lol

I know what you mean, it's an easy mod to do though I think, it just seems harder than it is

You have a few 360's you repair don't you?

I don't suppose you have a RROD one your looking to get rid of by any chance?

That's cool, i'm thinking of getting a 360 to have a play with you see, i've just been trying to decide whether it's worth buying a RROD console or not

mines been done since November, not had any trouble with it as yet.

I've got 3 360 shells and 5 pieces of clear acrylic so at some point will try a case mod with my dremel style drill

I think I may just buy one new, is it worth even bothering with the Arcade or Core or should I just see if I can get a decent priced Premium or Elite.

I'm due my leaving bonus from the Navy at the end of this month you see but wanted to try and keep hold of most of that as i'm having difficulties finding work at the minute, but if it's not worth me trying to fix a RROD or buying an arcade i'll just spend the extra and get a decent system.

I would only buy a 60gig console though which is even more money lol

My plan was to buy a cheap 360 then if I find a job quick enough I can buy a PS3 too, it's an incentive that way to go job hunting!
