please I need to build an amd am2 based core 2 duo gaming pc but i want to spend as little as possible. most inportant are the case (super silent), processor speed (not too fast) and cheapest graphics card possible. just something to handle crysis, cod 4 and maybe gears of war. if possible all componet to come from ebuyer except for ram, already have a 500gb hdd. please help

1) AMD AM2 and Core2 are two totally different chips. One is AMD, one is Intel. If you were buying now get an Intel Core2 as they are far better than AMD's offerings atm.

2) Crysis is the single most demanding game on the market, if you but a 'cheap as poss' graphics card you are going to fail at running any game well at all. The graphics card is probably the single most important component of a PC for playing games (with the CPU in a close 2nd).


If you are buying a new PC now and want it to be half arsed at playing any new games you want:

+Intel Core2 CPU
+2GB Mem
+ATi HD3850/HD3870 or nVidia 8800GT, if those are too expensive an ATi X1950Pro is a good budget option. Don't get anything lower than that if you want to play at any sort of resonable framerate.

thanks for the reply. i know am2 and core 2 are different i was just saying something like core2 but an amd product.
