Need to find a cheap but reliable courier- can anyone help?

Consignment weight 25kg, quoted £30, anyone better this?

Have jus bought a travel system (pram thingie) on ebay and seller kindly said he would post via courier. there are about 4-6boxes so a consignment option would work best i think, and ParcelForce have quoted £29.99 for 25kg (will weight upto this much)..however, i have scoured ebay and google for a re-distributor but couldn't find one that uses parcelforce (prefer them cos you can drop off to P.O instead of seller waiting in all day and then courier not collecting!) and also, they dont require measurements of each box as long as its within their limit... i dont wanna put seller out...he's doing enough by sourcing a load of boxes to pack the thing!

Anyway, on another 'moneysaving site' , after much scouring, found direct parcel delivery to be an option, but then moved to a later thread it stated they're ones to avoid!

what's a girl to do??
Any advice, recommendations on a cheap courier accepting upto 30kgs will be much appreciated.

Can anybody confirm if send-it-now take consignments at their quoted rates?- i.e., £10.49 for 48hr delivery.....
from what i recall, they charge less than Pforce per item, but do it as a price per box.. so 4 boxes with a total weight of 30kg would be about £44 or sommat (charge £10.99 for a 48hr delivery) whereas PForce would charge £30 no matter how many boxes...
