Same problem for me i needed to loose a couple of stone and nothing was shifting it so went to the doctors and told him it was affecting my confidence and that i had tried dieting but wasn't losing no weight. So he prescribed me some weight lose tablets called Reductil and I've been on them a month and haven't changed what i eat or done anymore exercise and I'm losing a couple of lb's a week.

There is also xenical which do the same as Reductil these tablets can be bought off line for around £3 each because they work but the doctor will weigh you and if you are over weight should prescribe those new slimming tablets the sell called Ali are half strength Xenical which the doctor will prescribe.

Some info about Reductil

Are you bloke or blokess?

Different "methods" work better dependant on your gender.
#3
Eat what you want but put the exercise in to burn off the calories. No long term short cuts I'm afraid.

Ideally reduce what goes in and increase what you burn - simples!!
#4
i might ask the doctor in that case but i am actually trying to avoid using slimming tablets.just not sure.my bf said just just cut down on fried food and fizzy drinks and go jogging once a day.

i am desperate to get to a toned size 8 and find it so hard!!

If your continuing the same diet & not doing any more excercise then you know whats going to happen when you come of the farty tabs :whistling:

I'm a bloke and this is my missus HUKD account but i found these work so i thought id share. Im not fat just a little over weight and just wanted to lose around 1-2stone. I use to wear a size 36 jean and am now in a 38 so my designer jeans are tight or wont fit but that's my reason. These tablets are weight lose tablets and it doesn't matter man or women my neighbor was on them and shes a big girl and the weight fell off that's why these new slimming tablets Alli are out at £50 a pop and as Ive said and everyone knows they are half strength Xenical.

There is no magic pill that makes you loose weight while eating everything in sight these just help suppress hunger and stop the fat in food but to loose weight you do need to watch what your eating they wont help if your ramming in cream cakes and Curry's every night but will help if you cant shift the weight and you are not gorging yourself.

I generally dont agree with fads & diet/fitness gurus but theres a lot of good advice in this book especially about why you eat fo other reasons than hunger (although I prefer to overlook the mumbo jumbo bits of it). http://www.amazon.co.uk/Can-Make-You-Thin-New/dp/059306092X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1247703060&sr=8-1

A good analogy to losing weight is a tank of water with a tap at the top for adding water to the tank and a tap at the bottom to empty water from the tank.

You just need to get the outflow of water (energy/calories) greater than the inflow of water (calories/pizza......mmmmmmmmmm).

The only side affect im having is a dry mouth which is a known side affect but if i have to have a dry mouth for a couple of months to get my beach body back its a small price to pay. These really come into there own when exercising with them the weight should really come off.

i tried ADIOS slimming tablets which is like herbal kind of thing but id didnt do much really but i only used them for a week so that might be the reason.i dont want to rely on slimming tablets.i think the only way for me is to get up from my lazy bum and really do summin about it!! will start with jogging and cutting down on junk food!!

I agree dieting isnt the answer its about slowing down the inflow of calories (a healthy diet) combined with excercise.

This year my wifie has lost about 2 stones & has gone from a size 14/16 to a size 10/12.

She really just looked at what she was eating for a couple of weeks (kept a diary) then figured out what kack could/should be cut out - unfortunately No1 to go was our almost nightly wine, crisps & dips :-(

She also started running - she found this really hard but on the advice of a friend hooked up with a personal trainer once a week for a couple of months to get her going & help develop a plan/goals.

Although it seemed expensive (£20 a session) she found it really useful and only felt she needed about 8 weeks worth to get her on track. Also comparing this with the price of gym membership it seemed a bit more reasonable. (the saving we made on wine helped too).

Within a couple of weeks she was noticing a big difference & this gave her more confidence & a motivation boost - she ended up running a 5k charity run then recently did a 10k run.

She is now at the weight she wants to be at & feels great.

She even seems to be enjoying the running now & gets a buzz from it.......................................... no I dont understand it either

aww thats great!!i think i need a personal trainer to help give me the motivationand i know once i start i wont stop!! 20 pounds a session is not that bad i thought it would be way more!!
i used to drink alot but have stopped that now its just junk food i need to stop until iv reached my target of 2 stone!

Another think Mrs Tomb did which really helped her with the excercise side of things was roped in a friend & they run together whenever they can.

Its had an impact on me too cos I cant have a wifie who can outrun me so its got me off my lardass too & got me back into running / cycling.

Still miss my crisps & dips though....

you know there was an interesting analysis on why eating one packet of crisps makes you wanna eat another...do you do that? have two crisps?

i remember when i was training i used to finish those big big packets of sweet thai chilli..you know thoe 3 quid bags that you get...its to do with the ingredients and what not kinda creepy but also true somewhere on the net ill have to find it but i cant be bovvad right now lol

get off hukd now and do 10 body squats.

dieting isnt the answer. you need to eat proper good food, cut the junk and get in the fruit.

start exercising.

you my dear are so silly its unbelieveable. no wonder you like great munda.
taking pills isnt going to magically reduce your fat. a fairy princess isnt gonna come along with a magic wand and wave the fat away how old are you? like 12?

if you are not 12 then im assuming youre a grown woman who lacks the brain cells to understand that you have to WORK to get what you want. you have to exercise for the pills to work. you cant sit on the net all day watching gundah porn and expect the fat to go by knocking some pills down ya.

feel like choking ya right now the idiocracy amazes me

OMG!!!!lol why are you so rude!!lol do you not have any manners??lol i dont know if i should laugh or take this as an INSULT!!no im not 12 im 21!!and if u read what i said then maybe u will understand!!i do exercise and i have cut down on alot but i find it hard so just wanted some good tips not get a bloody lecture!!anyways thanks for that.and its not me watching gundah porn!must be you if your saying to me!this is the whole point of this site for other people opinions!and i asked you nicely and i'd just like to say you have no manners at all!!:-D

No beige food!
I don't eat crisps, pasta(very little), potatoes(very little), bread(big no no), biscuits & no chocolate ones count as well!
I've just had baby number 4 & I'm finding it difficult to shift the weight especially as my netball class is off during the hols so I need to be even more careful.
The thing is, if you've had a glass of wine & you do fancy that bag of crisps, then have them, just not 2 packets every night! If you say 'no' to everything, you'll never stick it. Yeah, it'll take longer to lose the weight, but it should stay off!

If comfort eating is an issue I really do suggest getting this book - it really could help.

Read the reviews.

Keep out of all supermarkets , too much temptation with glossy marketing . Get down to your nearest market , buy as fresh fruit and veg as possible . Keep off booze if possible but keep fluid level up - water . Do not buy slimming books , join gyms or slimming clubs . Why pay to lose weight .
No charge .

You mention that you swam, while good to get the heart rate up not so good for weight loss, Jogging is the answer maybe 3 times a week and you will seee the results in 2-3 months while also following a sensible diet. You should read up on it/goto your doctor/or join a gym.

Good luck, if you go joging go with a friend or take an ipod (it gets boring until you can jog without stopping)with some rocking music, When I did jog I listened to heavy rock tracks, Motivated me

The best thing i did was stop eating chocolates, crisps, fizzy drinks and biscuits etc you will know what isnt good for you and all the unhealthy things once you start eating healthy and see the weight comming off you wont really mind that your not eating unhealthy stuff and will start feeling alot more motivated.

I go on a starve myself diet. It works, and unlike some I dont yo-yo very much.

I have one meal a day, and just snack on a couple of apples n bananas during the day.

it's pretty soul destroying, but Im losing a daft amount on a daily basis.

Maybe you're not eating enough and it's giving you headaches and putting you in a bad mood all the time? In turn, this could be the reason why you are rude to everyone on here?
Solution - eat more, be happy and leave off abusing folks on here!!! :-D

Aha... you could be on to something, but I've only started doing it this week!

The reason for my rudeness is just because I'm a rude and obnoxious bad guy.

Sorry :(
