Need to make a few thousand quick!!!

Hi,

I have got a great deal on a new build house, full turn key.
As it is under market value I can use the difference as part of the deposit but still leaves me £3250 deposit to pay along with solicitor fees and all the other fees associated...

My problem is I was not expecting to buy so soon, I got married last summer and have been renting since and was going to rent for a while longer but then this offer came along. With co-ownership coming back I can't see the offer being their long.
Then with xmas etc I have very little saved so I need to get some money gathered up quickish!! :(

Anyone advise the best way to get 1 or 2 thousand that won't land me in jail ;)

For example what is the cheapest option when borrowing money - (overdraft, bank loan, credit card etc...)

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I recently got a Virgin credit card and they allow you to transfer some of your credit to your current account. So depending on how much credit they allow you, you may get all of the money. It only cost 3% transfer fee and is free of interest for 12 months or in the order thereof. May be an option for you.

You can sometimes borrow the deposit from the Solicitor, they will charge interest though.
If you borrow it from a credit card you will need two(unless they allow cash advance at 0% which is very rare).
Draw the cash from the first card and balance transfer the debt to the interest free new card, you will probably have to pay about 3% handling charge.
