Then the second game they said come back to us in 30 or more days as it's not classified lost until then, I have written to them at least 6 times. nothing I have gone into the shop they said nothing to do with them and to contact/mail them through there website.!!! I am getting no answer, it's not alot of money but this is getting under my skin!! Then the icing on the cake went to cex this morning to trade in a sealed copy of a game and they said I needed proof of purchase!!! WWWAAAAAAA!!!! i'm going goddam crazy!!!
any ideas anyone!!! please!

You will first need to contact Royal Mail to find what their take on this matter is, as so much time has elapsed by now they make ask you to file in a claim form, you may find this rather pointless as you maybe unsuccessful in getting a refund from Royal Mail. However you would have taken every step in your capacity to gain back what is lawfully yours and thereafter becomes a Trading Standards issue. Trading Standards will help you no matter how small the value is. You can find the number for your local office a ‘Google’ searching: Trading Standards (your town).
Hope this helps.

Hi Liger, This is a problem with CEX sending me games, the silly thing that I have done is write to them (CEX ) through there website as requested ( for a so called speedy reply ) so I do not have copies of the emails I have sent!!!
I am going to write to them AGAIN today, explain the situation AGAIN, then go to trading standards if no reply, Thanks ;)

Wow Mrman, that is some appalling service u've received.

lots of people have not had good experience with them, most companies would contact RM for you as they would claim back the monies themselves. CEX obviously cannot be bothered and asked u to contact RM and make a claim yourself.

Liger has said it really, go to trading standards. Unless they have have a term that states that not used games will come with instructions then they should provide u with one.

Will not be using CEX in the future, good luck bud

It says on their website that not all games come with instructions. It seems as though mrman007 has accepted this in his opening post.

Ah, so it's rapid response to those they want to and not those genuine people who just have a small issue. It's a shame that they've allowed the mail order part to fall so badly when most of the shops are pretty good with honest staff (unless thats just my local)

As for the sealed game thing. I had that once, so I went out of the store unwrapped it and walked stright back in. Job done.
I guess it's to prove you didn't just nick it from a shop and wanted to get rid quick :|

Some games they won't accept unless sealed don't forget, such as ones with codes in. For example I traded in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, but that had to be sealed, they wouldn't take unsealed ones.
