She wants me to come up with a name for the company. Her surname is povey so not sure if you creative geniuses want to include that?

Rep for the best one so if anyone can help then that'll be great!!!

I would say it is NOT a good idea to use her surname in the name of the company.

If for example she built the company up then decided to sell it a company name based on her name may hinder the sale.

Amstrad came from Sir Alan Sugar's name. So pretty much the same.

Yeah so did Tesco but its just using initials, someone reading the name would not know it was using someones name, a very different thing than a small personal business using their family name.

swallowed a latin dictionary by any chance?

you say "her" surname not "our" surname, but refer to her as your other half, I dunno whether you are married or not, but what if she changed her surname? (no offence but if you situation changed a few years down the line, if you aint married you may marry, if you already are you may get divorced)

from a marketing point of view it either has to be very cool or very cheesy name, either way memorable and easy to say/spell, most effective marketing is word of mouth so it helps if people can track you down.

What is her fav colour? She could call it The Green Room ( or whatever the colour is) that way if she diversifies into other areas it doesnt have to impact on the name.

BB - Body Beautiful

If you are going to have a company that tries to make women feel more attractive the company name needs to appeal to their vanity.

The feeling that by spending some money they are somehow going to be more attractive, more appelling, more sexy.

I think an obscure latin name is just that, too obscure.

Something simple like Body Beautiful hits the spot.

Easy to remember, and appeals to a womans vanity.

what about cutie~cool (cuticle) to play up the nails thing:roll:
