My fiance is going to buy me a netbook for xmas and weve been looking around and these 3 seem ok (they might not be lol)

Acer Aspire 533 £259
Hp mini 110 £259
Samsung n150

Can you guys tell me if these are any good please and would do the job of just surfing, emailing etc watch the odd video

i did notice the acer wireless was only 54mbps and the others are 300 mbps. If this a major prob?

Any advice would be much appreciated thanks and if you know anywhere we can get them cheaper would be fab too thanks

Have a look at Asus netbooks as well. They have really good battery life and build quality.

You might want to consider this deal, as the price is knocked down with a discount and via the use or Quidco/TopCashBack members are getting it for just under £250.00p - it does have a more powerful dual-core CPU and a bigger screen at 11.6".

If you can provide the links to the specific netbooks that would be handy.

Mmm...to be honest all three have pretty much the same spec the only outstanding one is the Samsung N150 Plus Netbook, which comes with the Intel Atom N450 CPU in comparison to the other two that instead have Intel Atom Processor N455 CPU (there's not much of a significant difference between the two of them from what I can remember).

The battery cell capacities look the same as well based upon the info they've provided along with the operating system as well (Windows 7 Starter Edition).

My recommendation would be to consider the HP Netbook but that's based upon my personal opinion from using a wide range of netbooks since their introduction (personally owning several but also helping out friends & clients with supporting them).

If however your looking at it from a budget perspective then you should could consider going with the Samsung N150 Plus.

At the end of the day the decision is down to you...perhaps you should try going instore and trying them in out in person to see which of the three you feel most comfortable using.
