Just wondering how people cope without a dvd drive on the netbooks. I've been thinking about buying one but no dvd drive has been holding me back. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just get an external one if its that big of a problem.
For watching films yeah?

You can pick up usb ones for about £30. Personally we just use usb sticks or wireless the network here at home.
lg make a really small and compact one, i think it uses a laptop dvd drive rather than a standard desktop one, it uses the power from the usb socket, the model no is gp08lu10 i bought mine from pc world for about £50.00 which is not too much dearer than a lot of others
Problem is, adding £50 to the price nearly puts you into full-size laptop territory
get an xbox360 HDDVD drive, selling for £27.99 on
buy an external drive. or get a laptop if you want a drive.
Husband Uses A 4gb Usb Stick. He Wanted Something Small He Can Carry And Use On The Train And This Is Perfect. I Agree With Shaz, If You Need A Dvd Get A Laptop.

Just Want To Say It Bugs Me When People Complain Their Netbook Won't Allow Them To Edit Pictures, Play Dvd's Etc. They Were Designed And Sold For A Certain Purpose And These Weren't It.
