I smell something fishy but on eBay I found a Netflix 12 months account for £ 2.49.

This is the blurb below from the bloke selling them....worth a punt? Anyone bought one AND it worked ok?

12 month shared Netflix accounts
you will receive Netflix premium accounts
You will not get a code as this is a shared account.
The account login details will be sent to your Paypal email
you cannot change the password
Fast delivery

Note the use of the word shared... you wouldn't be able to use it reliably on a phone or tablet or similar smart device

only a few people can watch at the same time

Well I bought a years subscription for £2.49 and am watching it now ( season two of House of Cards) - I did email the seller before buying and he responded quickly so felt a bit more confident. Still for 2.49 if it only lasts a month or three it is a bargain.

What stops [you / somebody else] changing the password? Is it him just saying that or is there something physically stopping somebody from changing it? If somebody else were to share the account with you, they might run off with the account otherwise...

Chances are more than likely he has purchased it from a cracker and is reselling.

It will be someone paying a full subscription with no idea their account is being used. So changing the passwords leads to the account getting recovered by the person actually paying the subscription.

Caveat Emptor.. this is NOT kosher!

OP can you post the link here or PM it to me. Thanks. :)

for £2.49 you will probably receive

1 or very few account logins which would of been sold 100s of times thus restricting you logging in and actually using it
and
30 day trial accounts that you can simply do yourself unlimited number of times if you know how like i do.
or
Hacked accounts.

Will it last 12 months? Doubt it.

P.s - no pm's pls i wont give the info out.

:)

I know what you mean and I have full access to the account details. It looks like I can change the password as well?
When I asked the bloke I bought it from about what to do when/ if I get the message saying "too many people using the account" he have the following reply,"hello, i havent come accross this as of yet im afraid. you are allowed 2 lots of streaming per netflix account and i never exceed this so aslong as you only use it on one device at once it should be fine
thanks for the interest"

Beats me how it is done as I can even see the partial details of the credit card which is on a monthly subscription!? Anyway so far it is fine..on episode two of the new House of Cards series. Good (probably) 720p picture.

Doesn't Netflix ask for your address when signing up though? So that it's limited to one trial per household. :|

I am logging into an account which has been active since March 2013... I can see all the historic payments made...when did they introduce the limitation on devices used to stream ?

I use my ex husband's Netflix account. Our son uses it here in his room and me and my partner use it in our bedroom. My ex phones me if he gets blocked out and I kindly log out coz I'm nice like that ... and coz he pays the bill so it's only fair I suppose. :p
