Right something different as this site is all about deals and what we can save etc how about something different and share with others what we lost out on, i'll start the ball rolling with what happened to me in last couple of weeks.
The other week i was in hmv and brought FATHER TED DEFITIVE COLLECTION - £30 and THE CREW DVD £7. The other day i was in asda and father ted was £20 (see my thread) and the crew was £5 so that was me £12 down on what i could have saved.
Lets see what has happened to others its all for fun and could maybe help others.

I bought some sofa's off a mate and put them in storage. Some mice decided to make homes out of them.

Lost £125 with my wallet on a train while drunk.

Paid about £1,000 in fees to get a house purchase ready only for her to pull out on the day we signed contracts.

Mate, take them back; get a refund and buy them again. If anything like me, you'll have a pile of unopened DVD's

My biggest loss recently is that i put aside £300 for payment for the service of my car, MOT, parts and labour..
Imagine my surprise when i was told by the garage that there was a serious problem with the engine and exhaust system and that the car would be undriveable and in their shop for two weeks and the total bill was likely to be £1000.:shock:

The look on my face must have been priceless.... for everything else theres mastercard!

No matter how careful I am, my reciepts seem to dissapear into the ether when I need them. Hence car boot sale comin up soon. Bought too many things, lost reciept so cannot take it back. Must have cost me a lot over the past few years.
