Nothing to do with me editing if you had of read the link instead of jumping on me you'd of known. I only edited the post because people have to be spoon fed everything these days instead of reading first. We have multiple posts about the new switch like who's buying one, unboxing posts, and so on. :D

Expect a 3310i/3330 with 3G & possible 4G/LTE & internet access - Canada & AU and other networks have closed 2G off and used frequencies for 3G & 4G coverage, CDMA is also being moved over to LTE worldwide. 2G is no longer long term it is 'just' hanging on in there. I will await the 3310i if it is 4G/LTE I will buy.

Many people will buy this, many will upgrade to 3310i/3330 - I will wait

Don't worry, I think that's spam too ;)

See I don't see it as spam it's a slightly different topic of the same item. Some discussion is better than none at all misc is half way to becoming dead these days compared to when I first joined HUKD. oh well once it's gone the way of FS/FT we won't have spammed discussions I guess

Not to be a killjoy (obviously) but this doesn't look enough like a 3310 to justify bothering to buy it to me. If it had looked exactly the same (but perhaps with a colour screen and some other internal updates) then I'd have got one for the retro hipster joy of it all but...this just doesn't really look like the 3310 - more like what the 3410 might have looked like.

Not wishing to spoil the party but I'm actually really disappointed with this - what's the point in launching something for the retro joy of it all only to re-design it to give it a 'modern edge'? Utterly pointless, lamentable...dopey.

That was the point of this thread tbh for people to discuss what they think it looks like now we know compared to the old one I think it looks cheap like a kids plastic phone. I'd of loved an new updated one but same style with coloured screen for the retro feel

This. I also think it looks quite ugly in comparison to the original and bet it cant be used to open bottles of beer either......

cool

Disappointed the home/standby screen doesn't have the signal and battery level meters running up both sides of the screen.

Looking at this they haven't really tried imo, they've basically taken the insides of a Nokia 222 or similar and fitted them in a 3310 inspired housing. As above I suspect this would have been more popular had Nokia re-launched it as it was with mono screen, exact same design or at least the same design with possibly a colour screen.
#22
No 3G was a bad mood, Sony Ericsson (the king of the feature phone) were doing 3G/GPS on feature phones this price 5-10 years ago.
#23
Just read Nokia themselves don’t make phones anymore, so instead it is being made by Finnish start-up HMD. They should of just called it Nokia 2017 or something
#24
Someone needs to chuck it down the stairs and see what happens, only then can it prove itself worthy or not of the name (I suspect not).
#25
That's 1 ugly looking phone....
#26
It's gonna be a Drug dealers burner phone it's only £41 no one else gonna buy it not even an oap would buy this crap
#27
Why would you need "upto 32gb microsd card".....or even why would you need micro sd card in the first place....hope its not for 2 megapixel camera photos you going to be snapping away.
#28
Also - if my memory serves me correctly - the 3210 was the icon, not the 3310. The 3210 was a design classic that everyone had. The first phone to ditch the external antenna (that I know of). The 3310 didn't really add anything other than a slight shrink in size.
#29
it's a niche product. For £42 I think I will buy one just for the nostalgia alone.
#30
I'll stick with my little 1100, thanks.

I think the problem is that there isn't any nostalgia in it - if you look at the pictures of it side-by-side with the old 3310 it looks nothing like it. Might as well just buy a Nokia from a few years ago and scrape '3310' onto it with a razor.

I agree it's nothing like the original no retro feel or nostalgia at all. It's just a Nokia 2017

people seem to be missing the real reason they are releasing the 3310, they are trying to create a buzz about the nokia brand and by the looks of it it's working.

if they had just released the 3 android phones that they are releasing i wouldn't of looked twice but i am actually thinking of getting a nokia 6 due to them drawing me in with the 3310 if you know what i mean :)
#34
I'll stick with my Nokia 6300 classic. Battery lasts ages and it's got colour screen and a camera. ;)
#35
Why would anyone buy this, when there's better looking budget phones for £10? ie. Samsung E1200, Nokia 105/130, etc ...
