Unbelievable! I've just watched this:

http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=1095451&ch=6037204&cl=8249859&src=ukyvideo

That's $199 for a 8gb phone and 16gb for the 16gb phone.

Hope this helps anyone who's been considering buyin ga new ipod or a new phone! Hang on a little bit and pick up one of these! Fantastic! July 11th launch for the UK...so that's just one month to go to a 3g phone with GPS. woohoo!!

This is where all the people who went out and bought the last model on an 18month contract get all bitter and twisted

you can just get a new contract out with them with the new phone...... sell your old one

With an 18 month contract which you have to sign up for instore, minimum of £30 a month for about 120 texts and 75 minutes. That's the important small print... :whistling:

Was wondering myself, maybe all the Anti-Apple brigade complained and had it removed. Really annoying as it had most of the facts in it

How annoying eh. Would quite like a response from a mod TBH - can see no reason why that detailed thread was removed.

Whats this "we"? I took out a contract, but I would like to pay £100 get the 3g one, activate it via old method and stick me old sim in, then sell my old one - anything above £100 will be profit and I have a better phone

Ok, here's a question....................

As I understand it, if you are an existing iphone customer and want to upgrade then the phone will cost £99 but you have to sign a new 18 month contract. Ok, I don't mind signing up for the contract as I use my phone a lot and the free web browsing and hotspots would be handy. It was something I was going to do anyway when my current contract expires.

At the moment I have the an iphone that I bought when the offer was on and unlocked it to put my t-mobile sim in. It all works very well and I love the iphone.

So what is stopping me restoring this phone and signing up to o2 with it, then taking advantage of the upgrade on 11th July? After just 1 month on the old contract. According to the website the offer says that any existing iphone owner can upgrade?

Cheers,

Blister

I doubt it. The original phones were not subsidised so they are your property.

So there will be loads on ebay.

after paying £269 for a phone upfront they wont be taking anything off me - I'll be selling mine on company intranet to ignorant technophones, I still get asked if I can find any 8GB phones to sell at £250
