New Apartment! Wooooo!

Just found out our application to purchase a new apartment in SE London has been accepted! Can't wait! Minus the fact our move in date is set for when my exams are, so never mind just leave it all up to the other half!

28 days and it all ours!

Of course...it is not that big though, you don't get much for your money in SE London, especially a new build!

Exactly! Also a good reason not to have kids for at least 5 years as it is only one bedroom!
Although I love kids, and can't wait to have them...but a career is needed first.

congratulations  i hope you help your oh as much as you can with the move :)

Yeah she does, it was down to me last time and we had a huge place which we were renting. But she is getting her parents to help with the move anyway. She is very supportive luckily, and thus doesnt mind. Also luckily we have similar taste 90% of the time as well.

There is probably going to be very little I can do as when we get our official move in date it is likely to me inbetween my exams and thus I will be miles away. But I will do all the sorting out of stuff over easter.

You have loads of time to have a family.

I am 35 and no sign of little ones yet.

Oh yeah I know that! I know how much my brother and I cost my Mum, thus I want a career and some cash first. Also, back to enjoying our lives again as well!

I want to be married before I have any children.

That is in the plan as well before children, although I think children at weddings are great (just use other peoples!).

As long as your not as 'old-fashioned' as one of my old best friends, she is still holding out for marriage before sex...:w00t:

I think me and my fella would probably be happier in an apartment.

Too many families where I live who make lots of noise in the summer.

I would miss my garden though.

My Mum had nothing (still doesn't have much now) when she had me although she was 23, but she is happy she has two good (hehe) sons, which I am in my third year of my law degree and my brother is doing his gcses and wants to be a vet and even has some work at a cattery!

I suppose she will never have to worry about STD's or unwanted pregnancies.

I am definitely not that old-fashioned

True...and hardly ever has complicated relationships...or rather hasn't had many, but at least she is honest and upfront first with them!

We could have lovely pots on our balconies.

You don't want children so it would be perfect for you.

I don't mind too much but flat usually applies to lower quality/lower income groups whereas apartments are normally more generic. But either way: property!

Exactly! We want some little trees to go either side where our neighbours will be though, so anybody with any green fingers who can recommend some little trees that are full for most the year, ok outside constantly and easy to maintain which are about 4-6ft high would be great!
