I created myself a couple of avatars. I hand drew them, then scanned them in to animate.

which should I use the raw one

or the edited one.

Red one for me too.. I think they both look really nice but I do like the red just a ickle bid more...
I was thinking of getting photoshop but I think it might just be a little to much for me to master...

i wouldn't even class myself as an amateur yet, let alone be able to master it. Will one day buyself a drawing tablet, i hear waccom's are supposed to be the best but even they have many different ones. May also treat myself to illustrator too. Surely learning this sort of thing is pushing useless information out of my head lol

If you're getting a waccom for drawing/painting then I'd recommend Corel Painter as software.
Fun software.

If i do get one, it won't be for a while. Would like to know of which one to get, for casual artistry

I have an XL Graphire3 and find it sufficient.
My sister has an A5 Intuos.

To recommend, I dont think you could go wrong with a Bamboo for your first tablet. Then if you really get into it, then upgrade.
