I am after a new bike because my old one got stolen, the insurance company have said I can have any bike from this website (http://www.wheelies.co.uk) upto the value of £425, but the question is, which bike should I choose? Ideally I would like one with just front suspension, they suggested I get this one (http://www.wheelies.co.uk/products-Rainier-2009_20198.htm).

The bike will mainly be used for commuting.

I'd go for one of the Specialized ones - the Sport Disc or the P1. I have had a few of this make and they are reliable and cheap to fix when they go wrong. My current FSR has lasted 8 years of abuse. They also have a good spec. Do you need suspension? If not, you can get a far better specced bike wih rigid forks. if you are road commuting, a lighter bike with skinnier tyres will get you there quicker and with less effort!
