Im tempted by the HTC Desire HD, cant really see any faults with it, would there be an upgrade coming on this soonish ?
best to wait a bit longer for the Desire 2 (Codename Saga) The S range is only a slight improvement over the existing, the big jump is the Desire 2.

The best new android phones announced at the Mobile World Conference are the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Motorola Atrix
When is the HTC flyer being released?!?!?! The inclusion of onlive capability makes me want one now!
I have the desire hd and can recommend. Battery seemed to be the main issue with it, but after the first week i can now get 48-56hours on one charge with light-medium usage and after managing all the auto syncs to my needs.
If you keep waiting for the 'next big thing' in this market you will never get a phone, which i why i just got the best phone for me at the time. And plus i figured the next big thing would also not be in my current price plan!
I think if the HTC Desire HD is still around the top when the contract comes up, we'll go with that :)

Cheers for the help guys,

Out of interest what, bar the iphone, is the best phone on the market just now, any O.S
