Nah they are the prices you pay on top of the contract.
#15
what a let down that is!
Ive only recently bought an iphone so to me this is great as it looks no different!
#16
Be interesting to see o2's pricing strategy

my current phone is up for renewal 17 August so will probably get this once it's released then 30% discount on my contract from o2, just hoping they do it on a 18 month contract as cant be bothered with a 2 year contract

Reckon 18 month like the last. Keep you nicely hooked from the last.

Am going to get this been waiting on for a while so all good news for me. Happy with the improvements could be better but ahhh well still a good phone to have. More than a phone for me. Use the interent a lot out and about and this is the OS system I used on a phone.
#22
I might be getting one after the dust settles and more details are in.

I am already on a iPhone contract since the first 2G but I was able to upgrade to the newer 3G when it came over through a deal they running but I wonder if it will be the same this time around.
#23
can someone please confirm the UK release date please... i thought it was 19th June
#24
UK release date is 19th of June - was said at event..

Desperately awaiting pricing details so i can order this.

Sold my iPhone 3G 2-3 weeks ago in prep for this, glad now. iPhone 3G gonna lose some value after this, as they'll no doubt drop the Pay & Go price for the iPhone 3G 8GB

I really hope it is.

It may just be me, but couldn't they implement dome of that stuff in the 3G, such as voice control (Unsure about video), seems like they could have done, but didn't want to, which is kind of frustrating.

I highly DOUBT that they will allow upgrades like before.

The 2G iPhone wasn't subsidized by O2, the iPhone 3G was. So part of your contract is paying for the phone.

Heavy heavy heavy users may get offered it, but i doubt it.

This one... haha
#33
anyone with a 3G shouldn't upgrade anyway, you're not getting much more, the software update will do more use than a new phone, and cheaper!

like I said on the WWDC thread, people cant tell the difference between a comma and full stop as text updates were up before the pictures. :whistling:
#35
Oh well...thought they would chnage the design of the iPhone and the illuminating Apple logo....lol

Was thinking to sell my iPhone 3G.....but now not really sure if I can justify spending the extra for those updates! :)

But you get a compass...
#37
I've been waiting for this for months, now I can finally buy my first iPhone! I hope O2 get the details online soon, I don't want to be waiting around after release. However I do wonder if it's worth seeing what the JB possibilities are or if its cheaper to go on PAYG and unlock to simplicity tariff.
#38
Do you think the size is the same so could you use a iPhone 3G case with it?
