Hi guys... Go easy on me.., Been lurking here for a long time, but just found somthing useful.
My sister got an iphone about 9 months ago out of contract... Naturally she got bored of it and upgraded to a blackberry, something about PIM or summat... no idea what she means!
Anyway, i got her pretty battered iphone with the silent ringer switch broken off and selotaped back on. Thought it would cost a bomb to fix, but went into the apple store anyway... They said it did not look like acidental damage, rater a fault in the phone and see it a lot, and replaced the phone there and then (still in warranty apparently, you can check online) with a brand new one. Nice and shiny!
If you have a phone which is showing some damage, just cosmetic or internal workings not right, and can carefully break (so it does not look damaged) the area around the ringer switch, they will do the same for you!
