hi just had murders trying to access my old hard drive turned out had to transfer ownership to gain access to my files Anyway what i would like to know is when you get a new computer and first start it up remember about inputing users well can i just not put in any user so as to have just adminstrater and guest because on my old one had about four user accounts but it was just me so got very complicated files everywhere i just want all my files in one place nice n simple i.e one account hopes that makes sense anyone please help thanks

As administrator,Go to control panel and user accounts, delete as appropriate. Hope this helps as I share your frustration with files akimbo! :0)

The point of setting up a user id for yourself is to help prevent you making changes that may affect the way your computer runs.
For day to day use a normal userid is fine and just log in as administrator when you require to install software, etc
This is especially useful for those with limited knowledge of computers

from day 1 i just start the laptop and log in never gives me option who to log in as but when i go into user accounts there are about 4 its only me that uses it so i want everything in one place, how do those accounts start is is when you install software?

This is usually because no password has been set on the administrator account, set a password and I think you will see the options of users come up.
