I think it looks pretty nifty, kind of retro with the new due to the hop on/off nature.

Absolutely love it, saw it yesterday and though it was brilliantly designed.

Yeah same, much needed improvements, although did find it funny when they were saying oh this is going to be something new as we are using a hybrid system...ummmm so are you currently in the last fleet of buses!

But the hop on/off I like, and the two staircases as well, makes it easier, as they often get way too cramped.

I rarely visit London so I'll probably never see it in person but I sure can appreciate good design. A capital needs statement pieces, especially one so famous for its buses.

Exactly! Well I shall be a property owner there and as I havent got a car, as little need and very expensive, especially in London (parking space=£17k to purchase!) the buses are very important to me!

It's not bad.. Although at the end of the day, it's a bus. It's still going to be filled with knife-weilding chavs blaring their Drum and Bass out of their phones. I prefer my car!

Looks good to me, I had to laugh at some of the comments on youtube though :w00t:

I'd still like to see the old Routemasters back though !

two staircases is unnecessary just taking up seating space

and 3 doors will that not mean people just sneak on without paying or will there be a bus conductor as well as driver on every bus?
#11
It's just a double decker bus???

glad they kept the rear staircase, and hopoff, and didnt listen to the health and safety morons

but 3 doors and 2 staircases? is there any space left for seats?

what is also needed is a return of conductors, so the bus doesnt have to stop for so long blocking traffic

What buses do you get on? I'm living in SE London and even down there it really isn't that bad. I'd prefer the bus to the car anyways, due to cost a parking space at our place cost £17k to purchase, then a car, so ideally about £2-3k for a reliable runabout, plus then about £500 for insurance, £250-400 on maintence, mot and and tax, plus parking fees, and of course petrol! :w00t:

Just depends on your needs I suppose, and I have little need for a car when we are within 5mins walk of the DLR, major bus stop, overground, a stop away from the underground and the thameslink (river bus basically).

I think with the design the two staircases are fine and shouldnt mean too much less seating.
Sneak on without paying? The rear doors are for when the hop on/off service is in use, thus will be a conductor there.

Yeah I thought the hop on off was a definite no-no due to h&s, but they clearly managed it!
