Hello,

Over recent years I was "clued" up on mobile phones, but for the last 12 months i lost intrest and everything has changed!!!

I wanting a "nice" looking touch screen phone, ok camera for out and about and something which is not the size of a house brick.

We can forget about taffif for the moment, my aim at the moment is to short list some phones, then look for the right deal. (Has to be Vodafone due to signal,)

So far I have found the Sony Satio which looks ok and i feel it could be the phone for me, however, with such a selection to chose from, i could do with some advice to ensure i dont overlook any phones..

May shortlist is as follows.....

Samsung Jet
Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra Black
Sony Ericsson Satio Silver
Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite
Samsung Genio Touch
LG KP500 Cookie
Some of the HTC phones look ok.....

Any advice is most welcomed!

Cheers

I have the Nokia 5800 and it rocks.
Good phone touch screen, OK camera, GPS, truth to tell it ticks all the boxes and is avaluble at very good price point and contracts.

Since I have had mine 2 others have got it in our team of 4 at work.

Thanks
I have seen this also, The Samsung omnia 2 does look a nice phone and ticks all the boxes for me,

I like the look of the Sony Satio, but after having a "play" with it in the store and i did not get the WOW factor.

I think i may try and avoid Nokia this time, (had Nokia for the last 4 years, N95 8gb, N93, and a couple of more basic nokia's just for the cheap taffifs...

mcallim7;6620076 -- Are there any main reasons why you perfer the omnia 2 over lets say the Sony Satio ?

The only downside i can see to the omnia 2 is the size, im still wanting something which will sit nice in my jacket or pocket..

Cheers

i like the fact its got a dedicated graphics card, and the screen size is the same as the i-phone

i too have had a N95 8gb for the last 2 years, i like most of the game playing on it but was dissapointed with the video as i get a screen freeze at 35min and 51 sec on any video i make for the phone, tried contacting nokia for a fix but they were useless, the only thing that worked properly was the spiderman movie that came with the phone

i not a big fan of sony phones thats all

Helps if you can have a little play with them in-store.
I know that goes without saying, but some phones may look "nice" but menu system may be poor.

I've got a Blackberry Bold, think it's a pretty solid phone, not the best looking but does what I need it to do with ease.

Had a go on my friends HTC Hero, wanted to put it in my pocket...

I tried having a "go" on a few at the weekend in store, but a lot of stores just have demo dummy phones out on show, and did not have any for me to play with without them opening the box, (which is pretty rubbish!)

Im going to get my short list down to 3 and then head to another phone shop to have a play!

Cheers for the input

hdizzle

Thanks,

Thinking of using mobiles.co.uk, Vodfone 600 for £25.00 a month, with £40.00 Quidco cashback.

I will cross that bridge once i have made up my mind on phone.

Cheers

i have had an htc touch diamond for about a year now

quality of this phone is great - it still looks virtually as good as new, high quality materials used throughout

very tempted with the new version if it comes to o2

so customisable and thousands of free apps at xda developers.com
