Hi

Thank you.

Check out exactly what you will be left with once sold as it may be not worthwhile or even cost you.

Selling price - insertion fees - FVF fees - Paypal charges - postal costs - packaging costs = no profit sometimes.

Other than that check out completed listings to see what similar items have finished at recently.

have a look at completely listing under advanced search to see what the items you are selling usually go for. if it is something like a console game that always sells for a good amount i always put a 99p start price because then i usually get more bidders. make sure you take into account packing costs as well as postage as well
take phots of any damage of anything you are selling and try andd send recorded delivery at least. i always post things special delivery if the item is worth over £20

How does the paypal charges work do I just get charged every time I sell an item?
#4
final value fees+paypal = -16% of your total

apparently the best time to put auctions up are to end on sunday afternoons/evenings or such
make sure you include a picture with any listing

I'm sure there are some guides on google if you look =]

try adtrader for some things, only ever sold a phone once on ebay and it was a flippin mare. sold loads on adtrader with absolutely no probs whatsoever. obviously doesn't work for everything, but there are alternatives to ebay.

ooo and don't forget to make sure the listing ends in the evening or at lunch times when the most people are browsing

oh and make sure you dont sell anything to nigeria/malaysia, preferably set your auctions to UK/EU only

Which is why I said earleir work everything out first, I bet you would be hard pushed to make a profit out of those unless they are rare, which I doubt as there are probably millions of them lying around..
