strange, as every advert on TV shows the wii as a multiplayer console, now they are doing the opposite.

The Wii U can only support one touch-screen controller at a time, Nintendo has confirmed at E3 2011.

"If we got to an idea of having multiple [controllers] it might be just more convenient for people to use their Nintendo 3DS and have a way to connect that."

True, but that did offer something different at the time.

Nintendo seem to have just copied Apple's iPad this time around.

How? because its a touch screen pad? in that case apple stole it from tablet laptops years before?
Plus it hooks up to a console, dont see an ipad doing that!

I don't see the USP of the WiiU. I haven't yet seen a point for it. When you looked at the original Wii then there was a clear gap in the market. That's been usurped by the Kinect to a certain extent.

But the demos they showed didn't excite me in the slightest.
