I hate these honors - there's always someone round the corner doing something so worthwhile - not getting any recognition,
I do not agree with being famous means getting an honour!
banned 7 Likes
they are pointless worthless honours, no one cares about them.

However seen as a lot of paedophiles have been honoured by the queen, the honours list is perfect for the police. just arrest CBE's, OBE's and all other knighted people and are children will be safe :)

The guy who lost 2 daughters in the Hilsborough Disaster is getting a CBE

that is deserved! - Should be getting Knighted for his work with the bereaved families

is this the same terry wogan who claimed his wages for doing the children in need appeal for years until he was found out

Huh? Wogan isn't on the list, and no one has even mentioned him.. :puzzled: :|

Wogan was appointed an Honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1997 and elevated to an Honorary Knight Commander of the same order (KBE) in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2005. After asserting his right to British citizenship (he retains his Irish citizenship) that year, the knighthood was made substantive on 11 October 2005, allowing him to use the style "Sir".[39] On 29 May 2007 he was made a Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.[40]

Wtf is a Deputy Lieutenant? Does Wogan ride around on a Shetland Pony making citizen arrests, or something?:D

Is that an OBE, Wogan or are you just pleased to see me?

I like him, but he's not funny enough to be OBE material.

excellent news that someone who is not only talented enough to win a Tony and other awards for his acting ability but also win awards for co-writing a top tv comedy show has had his services to entertainment and comedy rewarded

miles, I'm sure you agree few reach the top in either profession so he really is something special to shine in both
#9
What don't you like about him? Hes funny. A good writer and the stuff he has done for comic relief was really good.
#10
and also he gives a lot of the money he earns in fees to charity.....so yeah, hes a decent man and funny too...well deserved award.

That's all well and good but that was nearly a decade ago.

The comment just seemed out of place, 'tis all.

Esther rancid! The woman who freely admits she knew Jimmy Saville was a paedo and did nothing! (Maybe that's why she started childline)
In my book being a paedo enabler shouldn't get you a pat on the back from the queen
