Heard on Hot 97 today.

Also heard that when people jump down on the tracks they get trapped in between platform and train they get twisted around.

Transport security then ask them to call their relatives for their final goodbyes before they reverse the train up as their guts will fall out and they will die.

Ergh.

That reeks of urban legend... but I'm doing menial work at the minute and I'm morbidly fascinated on the off-chance that it's true :w00t:

Time to consult Dr. Google.

That Dr Google isn't always reliable either but I wasn't sure if was urban legend or not. Seemed plausible!

I read the story of this a couple of days ago. Still got the link in my history, so here's the full story: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/woman_crushed_to_death_on_subway_9Z15Jbow2Bk4kdbgNCD2BO

Srsly amazes me that someone would consider their bag to be worth jumping onto railway tracks for. Do they not have long pointy sticks in New York, or something?

Having seen a spoof of something similar featured on Robot Chicken, I don't think this is breaking news. I could be wrong of course (i.e. some moron decided to jump onto the tracks etc), but the spoof exists.

Remember reading about a child who went in between two escalators and his body was spun and he ended up looking at his feet (was bent right over). They said if he wasn't a child, his spine would of been snapped, but as his body is still growing and supple, he just got whiplash.

At 22 stones that would be the only way I could ever see my feet !
