Newcastle are the biggest underachieving club in the world
#5
Fickle supporters with delusions of grandeur tbh

In general terms of course newcastle are a big club. The stadium, number of followers, supposed big name players. The big problem at the mo is the management and the running of the club. In terms of results and trophies then no of course we are not a big club, and havent been since Robson left. The potential should be there however to challenge towards the top of the table, but isnt going to happen until the club is run properly.
In terms of going down, if they play like they did in the 1st half today then they will stay up, if we get the rubbish we get since keegan left, then we will go down.

Sometimes i think bringing Quitter Keegan back could prove to be the biggest mistake in the clubs history

Keegan got the team playing well. We played good stuff, and believed we would get into the top half of the table. Keegan walked away because of the interference with the running of the club. How could he manage when his best players get sold, ie Milner and then bring in **** like xisco behind his back. Ashley dont know what he is doing

keegan walked away because he is a money grabbing sympathy seeking quitter.

ok thats your opinion but i believe otherwise. He is a proud guy and undermining him like that was out of order. What was he there for if he could not manage? And why are newcastle paying him off if he allegedley walked away for no reason other than money? Ashley must have done something to make him go, or newcastle wouldnt be paying him off

Liverpool will win as many trophies (c'mon Man U) as Newcastle this year, as for Keegan. Why would Ashley be paying up compo if Keegan was in the wrong to leave, surely it would be Keegan paying the club as they both had claims in against each other.

And why is the little mercenary suing the club he loves?.
Why did he leave Liverpool for Hamburg?,
why did he quit England?.
why did he quit Newcastle the first time, and then think he was right for the club the second time around?.
He is not the Messiah he is a self deluded me me me naughty fool.tbh.

Going down, down, down!

I also think Shearer will stick by them, despite what he's saying now.

Newcastle used to be a really good team, but the way the Premiership is now. I reckon (and this is my same thoughts on Blackburn) they'll get relegated, probably make the play-offs or auto-promotion next season in the Championship and come back as a more focused and become more bonded as a team. Both have had manager issues and thats probably whats caused the players morale to drop.

If he dosen't stay he's a plonker. He will leave with a bad rep.

''I will keep Newcastle up, I will!''

Shows he's full of crap and can't fulfill his promises*

*Thats IF they go down :whistling:

I agree with that, the day keegan walked out, i dont really think we have played a very good game since. Joe Kinnear, chris hughton, colin calderwood?
Its absolutely insane. As much as we all idolise shearer, im not sure even he will get us out of this one. Our tactics were all over the place against spurs.
If we win our 3 home games against pompey, fulham and boro, we could just scrape it. Its not likely though.
We cant score goals, which is amazing considering the strikeforce, but the big problem is the midfield. No creativity whatsoever.
Rant over lol. Ashley out!!!

The championship is a ahrd league to get out off, If we did go down I very much doubt we'd bounce straight back up. Look at Leeds, Man City a few years back. We only need 5 points I reckon 37 points will keep us up, Hull and Boro won't win another game, and our GD is slightly better. Shearer to quote dowie had the "cojones" to take the job when the club was in such a plight, and I respect him for that whether he keeps us up or not. The club were in dire strights before he arrived.
