NHS discount at O2 Mobile

MPharmaMPharma

I have heard rumours that you could get a discount at O2 mobile if you are an NHS employee, however does not show on nhsdiscount.com website, so contacted O2 who sent this reply, (hope it may benefit someone):
Thanks for getting in touch to know if the discount will be applied. I'd like to inform you that we're offering the credits as mentioned below: - £75 for a pay monthly handset tariff over £20 per month - £50 for a pay monthly handset tariff at £20 or under, plus Simplicity 12 months (Simplicity is O2 s SIM only offer) - £10 for our 30 day Simplicity offer I'd like to inform you that you'll need to purchase the contract from the O2 store as discount can only be applied if the connection or the upgrade has been taken from the O2 store.

I wonder if you can get this if you are an existing customer?

Yup (in response to OP), you will need an O2 Open code and ID with you as well when you go done to the store.

so what exactly is the symplicity deal after a nhs discount?

From the above I would assume it's a £10 discount off which ever simplicity deal you choose..

Depends which simplicity deal you take, I assume it's a flat £10 of any of them.

    I think you are right.

This deal sucks though. My contract has now expired and I'd hoped my 30% open discount could be transfered onto a splicity tariff. They won't, so I'll swap to voda without a whopping £10 cashback. (but topcashback will give me more anyway)

The code is NHS followed by the last 6 digits of your employee number.
