I am trying to organise a holiday for me and my boyfriend at the end of September / early October.

We were going to go to Disneyland Paris for a couple of days but have now decided that we would like a beach holiday somewhere warm / hot!

However, I have not been abroad in about eight years and my boyfriend has never been abroad so we have absolutely no idea on where to go!

I am 21 and he is 24 but we both hate clubbing and drinking so we really don't want to end up somewhere that resembles a Club 18-30 Holiday! Ideally, we want somewhere with nice beaches, plenty of tourist attractions and things to do and see plus nice weather.

We have a budget of £250 / £300 each.

Any recommendations?!

Kind of limited on your budget but my wife and I went to Kalami Bay on Corfu.
It is a little remote and the beach is a peable beach but you can hire a car and go and explore. Corfu town which is great.
There is only one hotel in the bay and the other properties are all privatly owned + there are a couple of great restaurants on the beach.
You don't get many children there also which is a bonus

I was considering Cyprus.

The last time I went on holiday was to Cyprus, I don't remember much about it now but I remember it being hot, nice beaches and a brilliant water park but I seem to remember lots of drunken people too!

Yea, I no the budget is a bit low but we have already been to Center Parcs this year and have a couple of weekends away planned too so we don't want to spend a fortune.

How secluded is Kalami Bay?

I remember staying at Limmosol as we had family living there. I was only about 12 or 13 when I went but we did go to Ayia Napa, I just remember lots of flashing lights!

Think it might be best to stay clear of European destinations at the moment.. Been speaking to people who have recently come back from Majorca, Tenerife and Euro Disney - all have commented upon how expensive they all were.

It is quite secluded up on the north west of the island. I would recomend a week there and maybe a 2 day car hire to explore the island. There are about 4 or 5 restaurants in the bay and the hotel has 2 pools + bar/restaurant. You get sailing boats that come in on different days as one the the restaurants used to be a house that was made famous by a writer. Corfu Town is about 40 minutes from Corfu Town and we both really liked it. Lots of markets with local goods + some great restaurants.

I think you can only book it through Thompson but there are more pictures here + reviews:

+1

I'm looking at going at the end of August/beginning of September and it's one of the only places I'd consider.
Should still be nice and warm!

Cyprus is beautiful.
There IS the crazy nightlife if you want it but if you don't then just stay away from the square.
There's also the beautiful beaches, plenty of nice restaurants, boat trips etc.
Highly recommended.
I've been 3 times and going back in August :)

Can go to the Caribbean for sub £500!!

Egypt is also amazing for Diving, after the Great Barrier Reef / South Pacific, it's the best diving I have ever done!!!

Colours are truelyy mind blowing and largly still in tact unlike many modern commercial dive sites.
