hehe !! sorry had to be done.....

Well he's only scored 2 less than Van Persie and 1 less than Ade, I'm not one of his biggest fans but I think he can get better

Wenger does sometimes show faith in players that can never step up the grade...do you remember Aliadiere? :whistling:

He seems to do the same with Alex Song as well and even though he has improved drastically, he's still clumsy, slow, poccesses poor positioning, can't read the game and doesn't know how to pass forward without helping the other team. :giggle:
If you count his pass rate in tonights game (I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger plays him against united as well, even though he'll be all over the place) watch all his passing mistakes and the only ones that reach our players, is the pointless side passing that slows down our play.

Bendter isn't quite as bad but is no way good enough to get so much playtime in a squad as strong as Arsenals and it's a shame because he's keeping out the excellent Carlos Vela in the process.

Again, I am not sure about Song, I think song has been getting better, and really does help break up the other teams midfield, but have to agree, Vela is simply brilliant I have been following his progress since we sent him out on loan then brought him back and really thought wenger was gonna give him more of a chance this season, he's a great prospect if we can keep him

hes a decent backup player. scored some important goals over the last couple of seasons.
#10
I must say sometimes he is quite shocking!

Yeah but you have to take in the fact that he's not getting constant games with them two coming in and out, plus he's been a better buy than Rosicky

i think Song is ok, nothing great but does the job.... you are right Vela is a very good player and i think he should be given priority over bendtner...

hang on guys, he's scored some valuable goals for us. Dont get me wrong, I dont actually like him as a player but he's still a squad member and if he gets a chance tonight and scores, you'll all love him tomorrow.

He's improved without a doubt but he couldn't get much worse than his previous state...I really don't know why he was touted to be one of the best teens in Europe when we first signed him. :?

He still needs a lot of time and I think he'd benefit so much from going on loan to another premier league team.

Vela is absolutely amazing, he seems to score nearly every time Wenger starts him and not only does he poccess unbelievable skill, he scores some of the most audacious goals we've seen this season.

He doesn't seem to be an impact player though, he seems lost when he comes off the bench but is amazing when he's given time and with the right treatment, I do honestly believe he can become one of the best players in the league.

I also hope we get to see a lot more of Jack Wilshire next season, who started very positively at the beginning of the campaign but seemed a bit lost in some of the more recent big matches, which lead Wenger to believe he wasn't ready yet and refused to play him, even when we were severly lacking wingers.

Watch this guy though, I would happily stake money on Wilshire breaking into the England squad within the next few years providing Wenger gives him opportunities to show his ball control and confidence.

lol and thats true, I would probably be singin his praises...he just doesnt really help himself by having a terrible performance then announcing to the world he's gonna be the next big thing etc....either way, I can really see some great things happening next season if wenger gets it right

exactly. people just hate a player for no reason lol. when he scores a valuable goal, you'll all rate him, but when he doesnt score you all hate him... typical...

According to a quick look at the statistics Bendtner has started 17 league games and been sub in 11 others.

He has scored league 8 goals.

If he was playing for any of the other 19 premier league teams he would be (league goals)

TOP SCORER at Fulham, Middlesborough and WBA (whose top scorer has only 6 or 7)

EQUAL TOP SCORER at Everton, Hull, Newcastle and Stoke

SECOND TOP SCORER at Blackburn, Man C, Portsmouth, Sunderland, Spurs, WHU, Wigan.

That is FOURTEEN of the NINETEEN other premier clubs where he would be FIRST or SECOND best scorer. And that is from only starting 17 matches.

And he got 2 on Saturday.

To me (a non Arsenal fan) he seems an excellent addition to your team, if only as a squad player.

Dont knock him too much.

maybe he should move to one of the mentioned teams... sounds like he will fit in perfectly...
Maybe if we had some better players (on par with Arshavin) Bendtner would look even worse ?
#19
Agree he is worse than Darren Bent and im a Tottenham fan!!!

anyone know what the team is tonight - roughly ?

That's not completely true!

He is a good player but if he was half as good as he makes out, he'd be a million times better than Torres lol.
It's important to have the confidence he has to help him develop but it seems that whenever he has a poor game, he then states "you haven't seen anything yet" or "i should be playing every minute of every game"...I mean...what's that about?
He's trying to say he's indespensible to Arsenal and that's including Ade, Van Persie (who's our best striker by miles), Eduardo (probably the best natural finisher I've seen in a long time) and the very talented Carlos Vela, who will without a doubt, become one of the superstars of the league.

Any out and out striker is only looked up to if they keep scoring but Bendtner does miss some sitters and doesn't contribute enough to our game, although I think he's a valuable back up player, he shouldn't get in the way of other talents developing.

See above and bare in mind that the teams you mentioned, doesn't create as many chances as Arsenal, so there strikers don't get the same amount of opportunities but some good stats there.

I just hope we don't play 4-5-1 again...it's a waste playing Nasri so far back and pushing Fabregas forward when Nasri is clearly faster and has quicker footwork, whereas Fabregas needs time to pick out his unbelievable passes and take long shots.

We need a REAL supporting striker today, especially while we're playing catch up.

Funny you should say that Sky sports says that nasri thinks he will take a defensive role....lol it didnt work last week so why oh why wenger is going to do it again I do not know

Why doesn't that surprise me? :giggle:

Nasri will be awesome going forward once he can sustain some consistancy and we all saw what he did to United earlier in the season. :whistling:

i think he is a class player, he is still young and the more he plays the better he will become!

I cant really agree with that, given the quality of players he is playing with at Arsenal, compared to the service he would be receiving from the midfield of Hull, Boro or WBA (my picks for relegation).

A far more logical measure of his worth to Arsenal or to any of the above teams would be to compare his shots on goal, on target and goals to that of any of the players you are saying his is as good as.

Well he would also be:

THIRD TOP SCORER at Aston Villa, Bolton, Chelsea (and of course Arsenal)

FOURTH TOP SCORER at Liverpool and Man Utd

Dont get me wrong, I am not saying he is another Torres or Henry, but in todays Premier league a return of 8 goals from a squad player is not too bad.

Note that Tevez only has 3 goals this season, and there is talk of Man U paying 20 million for him (though doubt they will).
