sounds like someone trying to hack your paypal account

if the address is unconfermed do as paypal say and dont send inform them of this and get an ebay relist for free
#5
or you could ask the buyer to verify the address through paypal, add it to their account or something. then make sure you send it recorded or get proof of postage. i reckon this would make it a little safer. i've no experience with these things though...

You can't verify a Nigerian address, nor can you use "International signed for mail" to Nigeria (even in countries you can use this sevice it's not reliable).

This is a known scam. Sometimes it is simply a way to get the items (you send it to Nigeria, only to find that the PayPal account used was a hacked account so you end up with no money and no item). But these days it's more likely to be (as in this case) a way of getting your PayPal information (the e-mails will be fake 'phishing' e-mails. You click on the link thinking you are going to PayPal but instead you go to a fake PayPal page. When you enter your name and password, the scammers will now have both and be able to hack your account, and if they're lucky, you'll have sent the item as well. The fake page may also install malware or viruses on your computer.).

I never have any money in my paypal account (don't really ever sell things, just buy them) but I've paid with paypal even though it has said immediate payment required and it's been fine, no complaints from the sellers or anything. Not having money in the bank would be a problem though.
