hi guys,

i've recently downloaded the NGS demo from PSN and was absolutely blown away by the game. I have ninja gaiden black on the original xbox and that is fantastic, this game however is far superior. one thing i noticed is that the demo on normal difficulty is actually easier than the stupidly hard normal mode on the xbox version.

is this just on the demo or has the difficulty been ramped up??

also, whats the differences in the UK and the US version? a few posts saying there is more gore involved in the US version...??

can anybody clear up those 2 for me?

It's a quality game, I have the US version and yes, it's more gory, chopping heads off and stuff. Not sure about the difficulty difference but it's not an easy game innit

its an amazing game.

IE the difficulty ... what i noticed is that on the demo i got up to the first mission boss without having to use any health restores ... also that the opponents didnt inflict that much damage upon me when they connected?

does the full release have all the weapons available from the start??

IE, the fully upgraded lunar? the 2 swords ... etc

No you have to collect the weapons as you go along, I should imagine the demo has been dumbed down but I've only played the retail version so couldn't say innit

can anybody clear up the difficulty issue??

i prefer it like it is on the demo (not too hard that you smash your controller into the wall - not too easy that you walk through with a daffodil and still leave a blazing trail of destruction)

also, does anybody have a link to buy the US version of the game??

i think games 365 do it but im unsure ...

I got it from www.movietyme.com for £29.99

games 365 have it for 24.99

says its region free, so will it be the american version??

According to reviews I've read, the PS3 version has eased up on the difficulty somewhat.

Having said, that, on the original Xbox Ninja Gaiden Black, if you die several times in quick succession near the start of the game, you get the option of playing with an easier difficuly level (called "Ninja Dog").

After being beaten to death several times by the first boss on Ninja Gaiden Black, I chose this option, and it made the game much more fun for me (still not stupidly easy, but much more appealing to the average gamer).

Have to say, I'm not really sure why people would pay about £30 for the PS3 version when you can get the Xbox version for about £6 used.
That's just me though, and it's one of the reasons I'm still more than happy with my Xbox1 and have no intention of going "next-gen" in the near future.

Yep, it's still quite a challenge on Ninja Dog difficulty, but it's fair and with a bit of practice it's not that hard to complete.

I actually found this game to be a breath of fresh air since you actually need to work at it, unlike most modern games that are way too easy and lead you by the hand.

Ninja Gaiden Black is one of the few modern games that I actually felt rewarded me for my efforts, and so completing it felt like a genuine achievement.
