Just a quick question.

My son dropped his ds and the hinge broke so we glued it. Now he has knocked his dad's coffee over it and it has stopped working altogether.

I am so not technical and found the fixing instructions a bit mind-boggling!!

So as I have accidental damage on my contents insurance (and I have read all of the fine print and cant see any exclusions) do you reckon I should claim? Do you think that they would pay the claim? I havent made a claim for over 5 yrs on contents insurance (that was for freezer contents).
Is it worth claiming?
How much would the insurance go up?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

i heard if you go into gamestation and speak to them, they will sell you a policy for this, then replace it there and then, do not know how true it is, but worth a mention

Not worth claiming on house insurance, even if you dont have an access to pay it will increase your policy and if you tick online you have had a claim you have to phone them to take out policy, so no good if you use the cashback site to get a cashback on insurance, just my thoughts

As Sassie says your house insurnace is likely to have a £50 excess minimum, alot of policies have more. You can pick up a new Ds for less than £90, so its really not worth ruining your no claims record for that amount. :)

I didnt even dawn on me about excess!!!! DOH!!

I'll have a look into that insurance thing and see what they say.

Hopefully more people will be selling them and cheaper once the dsi comes out as I dont have £90 at the moment!! Just clearing out loads of stuff to pay for something else and then this happens.:whistling:

Thanks for your help guys!
