Hi everyone,

I have been reading old threads about these cards as tbh I never knew anything about them until someone mentioned them to me the other day, when I said I was going to buy Prof Layton game.

So i'm still confused after reading a lot of threads lol This is what I have gathered me thinks.... I need to buy a R4 or DSTT card, a micro SD card. Download software then I should be able to download games onto the card? Where do you get the games from and im sure its not very legal?

See told you I was still confused LOL

There have been many sites and cards mentioned but concerned about fakes as there seems to be a lot?

I would prefer not to spend a lot on a card, can't see me putting a lot of games on, so a 2gb micro sd card would do.

So can someone please point me in the right direction of what card to get and what to do next with the card to get the games.

Thanks a lot for any help
:o)

HI,

you can get R4 cards from amazon etc. they cost between £20-30 (last time I looked), just do a web search for them.

the games can be dowloaded from the net and torrent sites.

It is very simple and it is also illegal.

I understand that some of the developers for DS games are getting a little ticked off by this and are curently on the warpath for those that download the games, especially through UK isp's. Although I have yet to see any big splash in the papers about their success.

so if you are worried about getting caught and the penalties, then I wouldnt do it.

Its like speeding, if you arnt prepared to face the consequences, dont do it

I have had loads of these cards, all of mine have been genuine.... works out about £4.00 delivered & takes about 7-10 days to arrive.
The Saint has a great thread showing how to set it up here Not allowed to link to download sites on here, but a quick Google of dsroms should point you in the right direction. :)

Just remember, both are made by same companies i heard, but they don't actually make R4's anymore and the ones that are out are meant to be fake, especially the high capacity ones.

BTW its illegal! lol

Good luck

If you are looking into this R4, M3, TTDS cards then you probably do not want to buy one of the new DSi. From what I heard they might not work in them.

I was also looking into these a while ago but then there was someone on either here or MSE that said she'd received a letter through the post from a solicitor with a £1000 fine for downloading a game without permission (basically what you'll be doing with these cards) and this has frightened me off them a tad!!

i got one off those solicitors letters, it was for £600. sent a reply and never heard anything again. they are unable to prove that the individual downloaded the game / film / music. there was a programe on bbc about it.

Still not worth the stress and worry I'd have though if I did receive one of these letters, I'd rather keep games for birthday & christmas presents.
