My son has broken his DS the hinge connecting the screen on the right has snapped, the ds still works but will not be long untill the other one goes, as its holding up on that one.

Can it be fixed? Or do I need to get a new one? Thanks in advance NattyD!

Its an original DS not Lite

the original is easier to fix than the lite, so you lucky there, www.dealextreme.com will have all th parts you need and dont forget to get the special screwdriver from there to. Take your time doing it, and if needs be draw diagrams of what your doing, so you know how to put it back together , time and patience is the key to doing it

My daughters DS lite hinge broke and we had it replaced under warranty as its a known deign fault apparently. May be worth trying to see if you can get it under warranty.
