I believe there are two cameras: one on the inside where the microphone is on the DS Lite (640 x 480 or 0.3 megapixels) and one on the outside corner (3 megapixels).

It's going to be interesting to see if the current DSTT etc cards will work on it...

if they were like sony, then the cards shouldnt work. Bear in mind that when ds lite came out, cards were already in existance and not much was done to prevent it.

i doubt it as it would slow down the ds immensely. think that a lot of sites have flash content a long with flash adverts.

optional flash would be ok, but even streaming flash youtube would be quite laggy i would guess on a ds.

"As for the console's new features, Nintendo has packed a 3-megapixel camera on the exterior of the case, with another lower-resolution camera on the interior hinge."

The current "Flash" cartridges do not work... one of the reasons Nintendo released the newer model of the handheld console to try to put a stop to piracy.

I say "try" because...

"Acekard Announce First Fully Working Dsi Flash Cart"
---
...The Acekard 2i is claimed to be the world's first fully-working DSi flash cartridge with cart mavens Acekard claiming the device supports all of the DSi's new features - including the ability to read and store data on MicroSD cards in the new slot.

This video shows what appears to be the menu system (curiously, the site says "The Acekard R.P.G. utilizes the idea of the iPhone which gives the customer a totally new control experience." which I think is just a fancy way of saying that the menu can use the touchscreen) with a quick segue into a probably not-that-legal version of Castlevania. Never mind, Nintendo. You had a good run at being piracy free for, what, two months?...

(Expect similar products to follow as the DSi sees a global release)
