Hmmm initally....... yes but they will continue to make loads and loads as this model will get more popular.

Depends how much you want it. If yes then order it now.

I was looking at it but think I will wait for E3. Its only a matter of time to microsoft show there portable console.

At this rate may even see new next gen as early as late next year also! who knows.

i'm going to get one of these x

I have pre-ordered from Game although still not 100%. I can always cancel before delivery day if I change my mind.

Thought about a DS for a while so may as well get the newest.

1.5% Quidco + £7.50 in Reward Points for pre-ordering this console. Also £149.99 @ Gamestation, get 2% Quidco but no reward points, FYI.

I suppose the best way is to order with the option to cancel
if something better comes along..............
Thanks people.......

Fair point, but if we did not purchase anything that was cheaper
in the us our houses ( or at least our gadget collection ) would
be VERY empty........:whistling:

( having said that we would all have some extra cash and
surely the "guilty" suppliers would have to change their
overinflated prices eventually? )
#11
will you be able to use ds games in the dsi, like you can plat GBA games in the ds???
#12
im gonna wait till its been out a while they might bring out a light version of the dsi, then few months later in better colours

not gonna fall for the marketing ploy

A few months ago we were at levels where almost everything was cheaper here than it was in the us. But since the uk economy went down the toilet things have changed again.

more like £3.80 in rewards and you have to buy a reward card for £3 if you don't have one!

Yeah it must do.

More importantly will R4DS (and equivalents) work as they do already on the DS lite?

If R4's/DSTTs/M3s work, i'll buy one as I'm looking to get a ds at the moment

DS's have been around £100 for the last 4 years, they don't ever seem to drop in price so doubt these will much either, Nintendo seem to be wise to it and keep demand high by producing low numbers hence no price drops, their marketing techniques are superb it has to be said.

Half-price DSi when your trade in your DSlite :-

“Our customers are very excited about the launch of the DSi, and all of our stores are fully geared up to take pre-orders and help customers understand all of the innovative features of the new machine. We’re working closely with Nintendo to organise a huge launch, which is perfectly timed for the Easter holidays. As always, we’ll have plenty of stock and some fantastic launch offers to give customers the best possible experience. We’re already offering the DSi for half price if customers trade in one of their other consoles.” - Robert Quinn, operations director of GAME

I'm hoping they will work because they load up just like DS games do on a standard DS - and dsi will need to be fully compatible with DS games lol.

Similar to its competitor, the PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo's own Wii console, the DSi has upgradable firmware; a first for a Nintendo handheld system. All existing homebrew flash cards for the Nintendo DS and DS Lite are incompatible with the DSi,[33] but DSi compatible flashcards are now being produced - the first one was created by Acekard.[34] Whether they are locked out by future firmware updates remains to be seen.

This is taken from Wikipedia.

Details of Acekard here and it can be purchased here for $18 (£14)
