Ummmm, maybe it's because maybe people want them!

Just because it doesn't interest you, doesn't mean they aren't going to sell. :whistling:

It's a bit like me saying that I don't understand why bras sell! :p

we are lucky that we managed to get one from our local "Chips" store last month! I have been into Cex in Nottm today and they have 2 Wii's (2nd hand) at £250 each!!

It's all a good publicity stunt by Nintendo to beef up the interest. Woolworths, Game and Gamestation are getting them in here like clockwork each week. They are selling out after a couple of days but i'm not surprised as i keep seeing people walk out with about 5 at a time.

I got mine at release with no problems though and i can't see there being too much trouble for anyone who really wants one finding one.

Glad i've still got mine from last year! :-D

I bought one a couple of months ago when my friend got extra discount at work. Glad I did. Still safely stashed away for Christmas.

I'm glad I preorderd my Wii and got it on release day. I haven't played on it too much over this year, mainly played Wii Sports and Zelda but with Super Mario Galaxy out on Friday and scoring 10/10, 5/5 etc in many reviews, and then Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart still to come out I'm glad I got the Wii and would recommend it to everyone! :w00t:

i got one from work today (not for me lol) and there were still some left when i came home, but i can see they are just trying to get a bit of panic buying going on

getting it at release is different from getting it now.

As more people have played it..more people want it now.including the market who dont play games.

Q: Nintendo have also realised that they are able to maintain the price of the Wii if there is a "shortage". I work for a High Street company and were taking names for the console, which we now only sell as a bundle. We took about 70 names in two to three weeks!
Chris Jones, St Albans, Hertfordshire

It is illegal for any manufacturer to both set a selling price and artificially inflate the price of their products. Retailers decide at what price to sell products. Nintendo do not create these bundles, these are created at store level by retailers.

i reckon if nintendo increased the price by say 20 pounds they could sell LOADS or they can make a cheap game like wii sports but still fun under there own name and add that on top.
