i have seen a package i want online, and it says it comes with wii play extra controller and nunchuck, but nothing about wii sport

Wii Sport comes as standard in the box. It's not even in a plastic case, it's one of those cardboard slip things.
Sounds like your deal comes with Wii Play and the extra controller that comes as standard with that, plus an extra nunchuck.
So, basically in your deal you get everything you need for two players to start playing. Which is good - if it is a good price?

To buy all that individually, you would be looking at around £225.

it should come with wii sports unless it's off ebay where someone may have taken it out of the box

Wii sports in standard in this country. If bought from uk retailer it will have wii sports

where you buying it from?
#6
The console is sold with Wii Sports...

Wii play and extra controller is another game package which can also be bought seperately to the Wii package...

Wii sports is in the box...

Some may try to sell this seperately on Ebay...

I've added a bit to my post above. You should be able to find Wii Play for £30 delivered, and a nunchuck will cost £13-15. So £229 is slightly over what you could get them for individually.

Excellent price at Shopto just now - http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=dettagli&codart=WIIPL00
Get one while you can.

yes, that's a good idea. We have had so much fun as a family wth the Wii since I made a similar decision. I also talked through the reasons for such a big present outside of xmas with them too, explaining that it was something for all of to enjoy together and that we'd have to make some sacrifices to pay for it etc. They were really sweet about it and even suggested that it get paid out of their pocket money! :-D

Treat them, treat them sassie! They'll love you even more for it - (and you'll enjoy playing family tennis!) :gift:

yeh why not,we probably have a not very nice Summer either.

I think you might get into it once you had a few goes, and you want to buy some extra bits for it.

Ours is usually on daily, the 5 in 1 games on Wii Sports will keep them happy for a while along before you need go buying anything else.
Theres lots of other games later on for less than £15 they will like.

i went on the trampoline game at my friends and never gave them all heart attacks from laughing so much, i must of looked a total muppet, and to watch my son play table tennis had me in stitches for a long time, i have never seen something so laughable, bless him

another good idea. We teach the kids to pass things on to their cousins/friends that they don't need or to sell them on eBay (and here tbh) to get new things. It helps them appreciate both the pleasures of giving things away and the value of money. That's how we buy so many games for them - when they grow out of a game, they ask me to sell it and buy another!

Like Mum2 says, Wii sports will probably be enough to last a while, and better games will continue to come down in price.

I've just looked on HMV and I don't think there is a good pair of games I'd recommend on there. You can pretty much get anyof them for less on ebay, and most of hem are tosh.

You should maybe get Mario Kart. It alone is worth 3 or more mediocre games that they will soon dislike. Even my OH plays MK now. The four of us have regular races!

Or - save some money and get the Gamecube version. But you'll need to but gamecube controllers though....

ok, thanks for looking, the money hasnt got be used up yet, so will leave it there, got another voucher coming so that should take it up to £34, maybe mario kart will come back inot stock there soon

Carnival and Super Monkey Ball are quite good fun, but agree you could get better games for around the same price. I know it's expensive at the moment but Wii Fit is worth every penny and all the hype :)

The 2 for £25 deal is not really that good, cos they overpriced to begin with,a few games there could be bought for less but if you got voucher for there and nowt else to buy why not.
Yeh def get Mario Kart, thats just a must have when you can afford it and Mario VS Sonic Olympic games is good too.

Nps - I bought two of the HMV games when we first got the wii - supermonkeyball and sonic and the secret rings and sold them soon after. They don't hold the attention like the Mario games. The other one our kids (girl 9, boy 6) love is Super mario Galaxy. They have probably had 30-40 hours play on it already and I guess they'll use it for months yet. The HMV games lasted a couple of days ...
