Hello people

I have just sold my Nintendo Wii. Now I wanted to ask is it possible to back up my data e.g. scores on Mario Kart, my scores on Wii Sports etc and My Miii for the Wii fit etc in case I decide to buy a Wii again later on?

It is possible to backup your save game files in most games, just pop in an SD card, turn on your Wii and go to options (button in bottom left of main screen), then go to data management, Wii save data, and then select the gamesave and select copy to card.

To copy from an SD card to the Wii internal memory, do the same thing but select the save from the SD card and select copy to Wii internal memory.

Game saves are only found by the games when they are stored in the internal memory and you can only copy game save files to the internal memory once you have played that game on your Wii.

Mario Kart Wii however specifically states that the game save file cannot be moved to an external memory card.

As far as I know, Miis can only be saved to the internal memory or moved to the memory in a Wii remote.

If you Wii is online, then you could send the Miis to a friend and get them to send them back to you afterwards...

How the hell did you two assume I will buy one very soon? and then call me the idiot?

Buying a Wii later on could mean...a year...maybe 2 years etc? I want to sell it now as its not being played at all am just using my PS3 and got a good price for it. So maybe later on when they fall in price again and better games come out...or if its comes out in black I may buy again? and then use the data I have had on this Wii since I bought it?

So keep your idiotic and stupid thoughts to yourself  Some people have way too much time posting meaningless comments....Fools.

you maybe need to tone down your posting mate, NO need to become abusive. Constructive comments are encouraged and are great to read, but this outburst from you has no place on this forum (IMHO)
And to resort to childish name calling, well, I rest my case:whistling:
