Don't suppose anybody knows the cheapest way possible to unlock this phone?

I tryed that when I first got the phone, didn't work.

Not the cheapest but I contacted Virgin Mobile themselves and they charged me £15 but it meant I got the proper codes.

TBH, I wouldn't be willing to pay £15 a phone - its a rip-off if you ask me.

Would the I-SIm 2008 work?

That would work but would not actually unlock the phone. It just allows a sim card to work with any phone and as stated it must remain in place to keep the phone unlocked. Virgin mobile quoted me £15 too for an unlock code. I think the best method is to take it to a local shop and let them do it for you. Internet cafes in my area will do it for £5.

I spose it depends on the phone you want ulocking as to the cost and whether its a rip off. I got a brand new phone and no one yet had the unlock software so contacted Virgin. As the phone was wotrh £180, I thought it was a fair price but if it's a cheaper phone I wouldlt have bothered. HAve you been to your local market to see if anynoe there can unlock? I've used guys in my local and they've always been fie and donlt charge half as much.

As to i-sim - sorry but not sure.

Just taken the risk and bought the cheap nokia one...

Not bothered if the actual phone isn't unlocked, just want to use a ASDA mobile sim in my phone becuause its only 8p a call and 4p a text... and is piggybacking on VOdaphone meaning the reception will be much better than ****** Virgin/T-moile which Is always losing signal!

I tried a couple of i-sim 2008's in a nokia 2310 and they did not work.
