I've tried reading your post several times but I can't work out what you are asking? All the text is straight and spelt correctly on my 5800.

well when i go to the menue
then select messaging its like the wording ie:new message is displayed at a slight angle-a bit wonky, just wondering if its normal

I've not heard of that on 5800's at all although I still can't see how it would be at an angle, can you take a photo to show the problem?

Actually my N95 8GB was similar, although I can't remember which location on the phone it did it at. After I de-branded my phone, all the fonts lined up perfectly.

i just looked on mine, and it's fine... then again, your image looks fine to me too.

mine is also fine but i also think that yours looks fine

on a tangent, does anyone know how/if you can get the screen to light up or something when you get a message? it's really annoying when it just stays black and if i dont hear the new message sound then I might not see it for ages.

It's prety suspicious that once again you are linking to ebay for an item which is a free download - if anyone is going to debrand their phone, don't pay for what is a genuinely free download.

Suspicious? I had a good experience, and was sharing it. That's all.

I agree totally, it's a real pain. If you type "S60 5th Edition software" into your search bar, you get a whole list of sites offering downloads for the nokia 5800. Some are free, like rubbishy games and screen savers, but there are also some that do the "repeat alarm" until you've read the message, or seen the missed call. Have'nt tried one yet tho, cos my computer keeps crashing at the moment..and you have to pay for them. Hope that helps!

then menu button lights up if you have a message

also try changing your theme

also try using handyshell works very well on the 5800
