What does +1 mean. I though i'd sussed it but seem to be used in so many different contexts. Explain please....

In b4 VB1 goes on about how I should know, by my post count

Well, seriously now, it means that person agrees with the poster they have quoted. But personally I find a lot of the time the poster who puts +1 is just being - as we call it here in Scotland - a sook. i.e trying to get into that persons good books by agreeing with them.

haha love it!! We have friends in Birkenhead and whenever they come up here that expression gets used a lot as they have a gorgeous wee boy - and am always sayng "oh he is such a wee sook" and they just dont get it!!!!! But yeah, there are a few MEGA sooks on here - cringe! you must have seen them yourself by now - sore thumb - stick out

I use it if.
1. Just moving through quick but want to place a vote.

2. Post is so clear/well put together anything else said may detract from it's impact.

3. adding a vote and saving further comment if or until op or other reply.

4. want to suck up to poster :oops: ;-)

really!!! i just see it as an easy way of saying yep..i agree, when you can't be arsed to write long posts, or even short one's. :?
