North East Coast - Suggestions on places to visit please.

Morning all.

Me and the wife always visit Whitby whenever we fancy a trip to the coast

This time we decided to have a change and booked an apartment near Filey, and planned to visit one seaside town per day.

As it turned out, we arrived here late on Monday after stopping off in York (which was nice), then did Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough (including the Sea Life Centre) all on Tuesday.

We went to Whiby all day yesterday (and spent a full day there) and really enjoyed it.

Anyone got any suggestions for somewhere to go today?

Passed Dalby Forest on the way to Whitby yesterday and that looked like a nice place to go (via the Forest Drive Toll).

Any ideas welcome, cheers.

Flamborough and Bempton Cliffs just down the road, and try Jon and Ginnys fish shop in Filey the best there is by far!

And looking out of my window it is beautiful and sunny atm.

Robin hood bay and salt burn are both nice, you can also try surfing lessons at saltburn. I like scarbrough too, there is also forbidden corner.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Robin Hoods Bay on the way to Whitby (again) then Dalby Forest Drive on the way home wins it.

Go Ape @ Dalby Forest :)

As above, Flamborough and Robin Hoods Bay are good on the coast. Dalby is really good for cycling if you are into that. You can go into the NY Moors and places like Goathland (if you are a Heartbeat fan (!)). Further afield, you could go down to Spurn Head or up through Teesside and check out the lovely sights of Seal Sands.

(Okay, that last one was a lie).
