Might be better narrowing title down a bit, I am in northwest and could recommend someone exactly what you looking for, but around 40min away (dad works in warrington sometimes so know this) from you so probably charge more.

I'm a wedding photographer in Yorkshire and I think what you'll find is that there will be photographers willing to part with the copyright to their images (I do), but it will cost you the same, if not more than a complete package including an album.

That being said, you did say you're looking for an up and coming photographer so you may find someone who is happy to do the job cheaper to build up the experience. Maybe try ringing a local college/university to see if they could recommend someone to you?

some of the best photos can be got by putting disposable cameras on all the tables at the reception and asking the guests to use them as they want and hand them back when full

These can be some of the best shots but I'd rather rely on a professional to get them than rely on your guests to get them for you.

They can be a nice added extra to complement your professional pictures but I've seen many couples who had these on their tables show me a hundred black prints (when they've forgotten to turn the flash on) and ten decent ones.

thanks for all the replys,we planned to put disposable cameras around the night doo, but I really need the day to be covered, sorry Lanc_red, I would have to have someone who has done it before and atleast shadowed a few weddings, I dont plan on doing this day twice lol, I may look down the avenue of contacting a local uni, thats a good idea and never would have thought of that, atleast they should be trained in photography and had a fair bit of experience!

My wifes a photographer, but to ask a photographer to give up there image style and have there name on a print they have not altered seems to be a more and more apparent thing but from my opinnion its what you pay the photographer for.

tbh i am not that bothered about cheap. its quality and access to the jpegs afterwards that concerns me, i dont want someone holding me to ransom for pictures of my own wedding! lol
