just been up the cenetaph and some chav was stood in the crowd playing some silly rap music on his mobile during the 2 minutes silece i felt like putting it where the sun doesent shine and so did many others i think

Totally agree - the one time we should all be united. My kids are in the Brownies and Cubs and have been in a parade and service. I have been stuck at home getting over flu but watched it on TV.

forget the politics for a bit, forget the yobs, the soldiers on the font line do their job regardless without fear or favour, and have signed up to perhaps give the ultimate sacrifice. ironically, the fact that some people can freely take the p*** today is in many ways down to the sacrifices of our brave.

To be honest I find it a little hard to believe that a 'chav' attending a remembrance service would then play rap music on his phone in front of everyone. Sorry but it seems a little far fetched to me.

why not? its obviously too late now, but for the minute that nobodys posts/types, maybe we could all reflect on why we are where we are today (ie: HERE!!!)

People (including my granda) did fight in the War and its thanks to them we are actually able to type on this forum on this special day.

We could do this, many are aware of this. We dont need someone telling us, mainly on an internet forum. You dont need the internet to do the silence. Why do you think its too late, you can still do it on your own at home, still allows you to remember all the people who fought in the war.

Many people from over the whole word fought in this terrifying war, mainly because of Britains dominance over many countries, and i never said we dont need to thank them, i said what is the point of saying this on the forum

Agreed with Vibeone
