Now im starting to panic

Ok, so ive got a couple of dvds on order. Now im starting to think there not coming in time for xmas!

Ordered the gremlins box set, was despatched last wednesday afterrnoon, still waiting for it, and cant find a contact them button on the website.
This isnt an xmas present, but i would like to have it over the festive period to watch.

2ndly, again last wednesday i ordered madagscar from woolys, despite the promise of it being delivered ON friday, it wasnt despatched until friday.
This is actually an xmas pressie for my 2 year old son, and i know i ordered in plenty of time to recieve for xmas.

Bah, rant over, but im not happy :-(

Don't worry! - A lot of people are still waiting for things, what I find a pain is when retailers say things are in stock to get the sale then let you down!

I'm sure woolies don't do this though.

Yeah, prezzybox did this to me last night with "spa lights". I ordered from then and paid a more expensive price, as they were showing in stock and no other retailerns were. They apparantly only got them in yesterday when I phoned then and are not even showing as dispatched yet. I need these for Christmas and being in NI does not help matters a lot. :?

Does anyone know how to contact hmv, as there seriously crap lately, after not getting my £5 discount and waiting on the item 6 days after posting (will be 7 actually as post has been today) id like to send them a rather stern email.

Also, are both the items coming from guernsey as it will explain the delay, 1st time ive ordered from woolys.

sorry no number for HMV - I had a silimiar experience trying to get nintendo ds lites for a friend from ebuyer! she went to town last friday, and was surprised they were all sold out!!! I looked around for her and phoned ebuyer who said they had stock in and if i ordered would definately get for Christmas.... had sleepless nights over helping someone else out, cause ebuyer dont have them... thankfully Game on line do..a little more expensive but now desptached -- phew! thats what I got for helping my friend... she doesnt know any of this other than I sorted her 2 ds lites!!

Can anyone find the "contact us" button on hmv, as ive previously emailed them before through it, after searching through the site about 6 times i cant find it today.

Ive found a phone number, but thats it, i want to email them.

I am waiting on one DVD from Play & one from HMV. Play dvd still says processing so i hope i get that in time! The HMV one I bought on Friday and it said it was available and ready to ship but I haven't had the dispatch email. March of the penguins was bought a few hours later and that was sent the same day and it came this morning!

Emailed them, so lets see what they say now, bet i get "youll have to contact us 10 days after posting" then itll be xmas and too late....

I dont think theyve even posted it, it said 3-5 days before despatch, on order from suppliers, but it gets posted 6 hours later, a way to get there hands on my money i think....

Is it to do with an order? If so, I think you can send a direct e-mail by replying to the order confirmation sent by them. It should also give them details of that order at the same time.

Nice one, just done that, thats 3 emails theyve got from me now, theyll love me :giggle:

I know it was only a 3.99 boxset, but its not really the point....

They are slow at the moment. I'm still waiting for four items to be delivered by them. Two despatched and two don't know, but I'm pretty sure they'll arrive. They've always been good at fulfilling orders for me anyway [hope I haven't just messed it up saying that :roll:].

Missing order from Game - ordered on 9th December and despatched on 10th and still not here! I ordered something after this and it came virtually the next day. Now can't find a phone number - only an e-mail contact. I'm off on business for the next few days and won't be near e-mail - so I'm not going to know if it's coming/lost/stolen! They deducted the money from my bank on 10th December.

Does anyone have other contact details other than e-mail for them?

Thanks - rang the number and eventually got through - apparently it was despatched on 11th - therefore I need to wait until Thursday before it's classed as 'missing'.

If it hasn't turned up by them I need to ring before 1pm and they will send a replacement to reach me by xmas.

Not too happy as one of the gifts is for a nephew who is going to England for xmas - so I won't have it to give him if it doesn't turn up by Thursday!

At least everything else has came - hope your stuff comes too Joshanna!

I just did a search for the item I am waiting on from play and it says out of stock for that item but my order page says 'processing'. You can normally cancel as long as it hasn't entered the dispatch process but the cancel button is not there... does this mean I am lucky and have got one of the last dvds they had? (i'm hoping i am...!!)

Gotta tell you though, HMV wont reply to your email until 3-4 days later.

Its best to send your message to all of their contact us addresses.

ok well i called play and they say one is set aside for me (yay:-D) and will be posted today but it might not get here for xmas they can't guarantee anything (keeping fingers crossed!!)

Got home tonight after being away and NO POST at all!

So Game order looks like it's missing.

I also ordered a express delivery from Amazon via Citylink - NO CARD - says tried to deliver and customer to arrange delivery but they haven't put a card through my door.

ARggggggghhhhhh - really stressed now. Need to phone game and citylink and in a meeting all day tomorrow.

Can't wait till this time next week.

Thinking that the post office had a xmas party last night and all mail cancelled in my area - as nobody in my street got any mail!!!

play.com are so rude just rang them to ask wheres my order and they go to me i quote 'you have a computer check on the order status, and use the mouse to click' this just pissed me off, i said to the guy i no how to use a computer and on the order status it says depstached and now its 4 days after it said despatched, then guess what happens the guy hangs up, what a *******

Shopping online is great - just wish the customer service from these companies was as good.

Seems if you order it with tinternet nobody wants to take responsiblity - and no one wants to sort it out when it goes wrong.

ive been shopping online for many years but this just really took the **** how can they say that to a customer. this is the first time i have been talked to this way. to a customer who has been shopping with them for many years and ive spent hundreds of pounds with them

I know what you mean sarbjeet. I had one guy say to me 'What exactly is the problem' in a very sarcastic tone after I had told him twice as to the reason I was calling. They can be very rude when they want to be! Luckily the guy i spoke to yesterday was helpful and polite. That's all I want. It really is horrible to be on the phone to somebody who just doesn't care :(

feeling annoyed at Pixmania :( I ordered item on the 14th, paid £10 for express 24hr-48hr delivery. So with the weekend I expected it mon/tues. Still not here. Tracking page..

oh it gets even worse... :( Tracking now says it has been delievered and signed for at 3pm by someone called Almond. Don't know anyone of that name. Apparently the driver has now gone home so nothing can be done until the driver goes back to work! I can't believe it everyone is being so unhelpful and someone is out there with our mp3 player :(

pixmania have to be the worst online retailer by far i wouldnt buy anything from them ever, bought a phone said it was instock waited a week rang them up and they said they need security details told them that then waited another week rang them up again and they say its out of stock. they dont have the courtsey to ring me and tell me or send me a email stating its out of stock and not wasting my time. honestly the worst company by far.
