Please give Nick Clegg his appropriate title not deputy pm but "Deputy Dawg"

I thought it would be Alan Johnson but he's out already.

More worryingly is Ken Clarke as LORD CHANCELLOR AND SECRETARY OF STATE FOR JUSTICE.

Anyone remember him when he did the budget? Put 10p on Beer then said no tax on spirits then swigged on his whiskey. Charmin.

God knows. I saw Dimblemby asking if Ed Balls would be going for the PM job last night on BBC. I think he's well respected in Labour camp so may be lined up for the temporary role?

The Labour Party is a Shadow of it's former self.

Blair, under the guise of making it electable striped out what little internal democracy it had and took it out of the hands of ordinary members.

The Ideological arguments between the potential leadership candidates are the kind that can only be separated if you roll your own.

The more important question is will ordinary people have a Party that stands up for them the way the Tories stand up for the rich and powerful?

Didn't the new coalition just promise to raise the tax threshold to £10k and scrap the inheritance tax cut?

So the poorest members of society are getting a tax cut, whilst those at the top end pay 50% - what more would you like?

If the tax threshold is raised to 10k, then all will 'benefit'. This doesn't seem targeted to me. Furthermore, don't expect any of this to result in a long term net gain. Other benefits are likely to be reduced as a result of the tax gain, e.g. working family tax credits. It's the usual balancing of the books, what a complete waste of time and effort.
